I LOVE Daft Punk, and "RAM" (Random Access Memories, the album this song came out on) is one of my favorite albums....I might say....This song is a very unusual song, and at first I don't think I liked it very much, but the more I listened to the album, and this song the more it stuck with me, and I found myself singing along! 90s Alternative

Hey guys!
So today my song is Why Bother? by Weezer. I've always liked this song, it's just a very rockin song, it starts off with an awesome guitar riff, that gets your attention right away, and will immediately put me in a better mood! This song is classified as 90s Alternative, as you can see from previous posts, this might be one of my favorite genre's. I just find that when I need something that will give me a good emotional release, I always turn to bands like Weezer....I wonder if that says anything about me.....Anyway enjoy!

So today I have a song for you that falls under the category of 70s Rock. I LOVE this song, like I love the band...I think I've mentioned them before...Supertramp? Today's song is Babaji by Supertramp. I love how this is kind of a slow song, but it still finds a way to be super catchy, and rockin'! Hey guys!
Sorry about not posting on Friday! I had an event and I just ran out of time to post! Anyway! Today I have a song for you that falls under the category of Rock, I could also see this being classified as Progressive Rock though, just because the band is Progressive Rock. The song today is Do Ya by ELO (Electric Light Orchestra). I love this band, and I have listened to the albums "Out Of The Blue" and "A New World Record". I think these albums are wonderful, and if I need album, that has a little bit of everything I will normally turn to these albums. Do Ya came out in 1971 on "A new World Record" I think....Enjoy!

Hey guys!
So today I have a song for you that falls under the category of Rock, it could also be classified as Hard Rock, but I felt that Rock was more suited for this song. The song is All of My Love by Led Zeppelin. Now my friend in Germany introduced me to this song. I mean I knew Led Zeppelin, but I'd never heard a more mellow song by him. I don't know it just seems that a lot of his songs are more rockin the whole song, so at first I didn't really enjoy the song that much, but the more I listened to it the better it got, and now that's one of my go to songs! P.S. This song was released in 1979 on the album "In Through The Out Door". I have not listened to this album, but I feel very inspired too, seeing as to how much I love this song.

Classic Rock

Hey guys,
So today I have a Classic Rock song for you. Google says that the genre is "Pop", but I think it's more Classic Rock, now I'm sure it was a "Pop" song in the 70s when this song came out, but now I think this can be classified under the genre of Classic Rock. The song is Moonage Daydream by David Bowie. This is probably one of my favorite David Bowie songs. I love the beginning and it just stays amazing the whole song! I love how this song was in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy, I think it worked really well in this movie and it is just a good song on its own. Enjoy!

Hey guys!
So today I have song for you that falls under the genre Classic Rock. One of my favorite genre's of all time! The song is Behind Blue Eyes by The Who. Now I first heard this song on the Who album that doesn't exist! (Click Here to visit the blog in which I discovered this album!) The album that I heard it on (the one that doesn't exist) is called "Lifehouse", now I thought this album was okay, but it wasn't one of my favorites. Then my friend who lives in Germany introduced this song to me again, and I found myself falling in love with this song! I found myself playing this song when I needed to rock out, and just let some emotions out. I know this seems like a weird song to have this emotional release with, but it works for me! Ska Punk

Hey guys!
So today I have a song for you that falls under the genre Ska Punk. I've never actually heard of this genre, so kinda interesting. This song came out in 1996, but for some reason I though it came out around 2010, I don't know why, but regardless of what I think it came out in 1996. The song is Impression That I Get by The Mighty Mighty Bosstones. This song came out on the album "Let's Face It". I LOVE this song! I always jam to it, and it never gets old....I also find myself singing it for a very long time after I listen to it once or twice... I showed this song to my friend, and whenever I go over to her house we always blast it, sing along, and dance to it! Enjoy!!

So today I have a song for you that can be described in many genre's. This song can be classified as Rock, New Wave, New Romanticism, Synthpop, Dance Music, Dance-Rock. The song is Rio by Duran Duran. Now I really like this song, I think it's really catchy, and I will always find myself jammin to this song! This song  came out on the album "Rio", and I've just been getting into this album. You can definitely tell that this song/album came out in the 80s, it just has that sound.... Enjoy!

Britpop

Hey guys!
So today I have a song for you that I think is pretty britpop, but it could also be classified as alternative, new wave, or even disco-rock....I think the last one is a little far fetched, but I could see the other ones... The song is Girls and Boys by Blur. I really like Blur, and I don't know really what else to say...this is probably one of my favorite songs by them, but I also like a lot of their other songs. The albums I'm most familiar with are probably "Best Of" and "Parklife". Girls and Boys was released in 1994 on "Parklife". Hey guys!
So today I am going to recommend one of my favorite songs! The song is Logical Song by Supertramp. I LOVE Supertramp! If I ever need a song that I just need stuck in my head I always turn towards Supertramp. They have amazing songs, that will automatically make my day! Logical Song is on one of my favorite albums of all time, "Breakfast In America" (if you haven't listened to this album you must!! 90s Alternative

Hey guys!
So today was a very weird day! I needed a really rockin song all day because I just needed to let some emotions out. This song was hard to find, because I have a lot of songs I like, but not all of them are great emotional releases. I really just needed something that had some drums, guitars, lyrics that don't really make sense. I really just needed a good song to head bang to! Now this will vary for everyone (and I think I have a lot of songs that actually work like this for me), but the song I found was another 90s alternative song, so yes it's another Weezer song.... The song is Why Bother?. Now I first heard of this song on the album "Songs from the Black hole" which is an album that technically doesn't exist. They recorded all the songs, but never released the album, instead they split up the songs onto other albums.....so Why Bother? technically was released on the album "Pinkerton".  Anyway! Get ready to crank the volume up and enjoy Why Bother?!!!

Hey guys!
So today I have a post about a 90s "rock" song....I guess. I'm sorry guys, but it's really hard to out music in genre's so I'm really trying, but please comment if you have any other genre suggestions that would work better! Anyway, so for some reason I have been obsessed with this song lately, I have a lot of times like this. I've known this song for a long time, but for some reason for the past couple of days it's been my go to song! The song is Say It Ain't So by Weezer. Now I really like Weezer (I have not listened to all of their albums yet...but) and this is probably one of my favorite songs by the band. I love how this song kinda has a rockin groove, but then when you get to the chorus it is no holds barred head banging fun! I think this song is a great emotional release, and I hope you enjoy!

Italo Disco

Alright!
So I might as well post something today because I'm so excited about getting this up and running! So my song for you today might be classified under the categories of Italo Disco, or Pop (from the 80s). It's called I Wanna Be Your Lover and it is by a band called La Bionda. Someone showed me this song, and I absolutely fell in love with it! It has a really nice kinda slow jam, and it has a very catchy chorus! The music video is awesome! The animation is amazing, and...I don't even know how to explain it! You just have to see it for yourself!

Welcome!

Hey guys!
So this blog is what I'm going call my vent blog! This is my vent blog because I'm just going to recommend anything that comes to mind...This may be everything from music, movies, books, fashion, really whatever I'm feeling like that day! This being said I will try to post daily, but expect only Mondays-Fridays!

Just a little bit about what to expect. I love "oldies" (I hate how it is now addressed as this term, because it's not even that old!). I also like alternative (like Weezer, and MGMT), electronic disco (Daft Punk), my taste really varies, but those are genre's to expect. I really like classic movies, but I do watch some newer movies! Books wise I like manga, comic books, but I also really like certain series of chapter books.
